What problems do you think the Users have with Y2K? Computer Users must take ownership and responsibility for their own problem situations. Or go to the wall. There are no quickfixes or silver bullets.

The situation today is that people realise that something has to be done. The question is What?

There are complicating factors such as:

What percentage of any system is original?

As time goes by, later levels of drivers are released. As software packages are installed, these alter and patch existing drivers to newer levels.

My own system has so many upgrades and addons that it bears little relation to the base software that I installed on day 1.

In fact I cannot buy the equivalent of my system in a shop.

It's a good question. I will have to look for an answer.
